Essays on subprime crisis in ASI/HF Newsletter started in the Fall 2007 issue
with the following: "Don't
Panic Yet: A Strategy for Dealing with the Risk of the Emergence of a Housing
Bubble Resulting from the Interdependence of Space and Capital Markets."
It foretold of potential problems and indicated efforts to develop appropriate
strategy. Its impact is uncertain, however, public policy moved in the direction
advocated, but with a lag of about a year and a half. There were additional
essays leading to the one posted just before Maury's
Blog was opened to the public. That essay is "Subprime
